上海民办光华中学创办于2014年，2016年与平和学校强强联手，共同打造光华中学融合课程3.0体系，执行国家课程，借鉴国际课程精华，形成独特的光华中学文化，打造扎根传统，面向未来的融合课程。

学校地处上海浦东新区川周公路2788-2800号，占地面积59242平方米（88.863亩），其中校舍建筑面积38776平方米，运动场地面积10323平方米，配备1个足球场，1个羽毛球场，2个网球场，4个篮球场。专用教室30个，化学实验室，物理实验室，生物实验室各1个。阅览室和电子阅览室数量2个，178平方米，图书馆生均藏书量达35册。学校办学场地租赁合约已长期延续至2034年。学校具有独立法人资格，是一所6-9走读加寄宿制（住宿可申请）的学校。

Shanghai Guanghua Middle School was founded in 2014 and cooperated with Shanghai Pinghe School in 2016 to jointly create the Guanghua Integrated Curriculum system 3.0, implementing the national curriculum and learning from the essence of international curriculum to form a unique Guanghua culture, and create an integrated curriculum rooted in tradition and oriented to the future.

The school is located at No. 2788-2800 Chuanzhou Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai, covering an area of 59,242 square meters (88.863 acres), including 38,776 square meters of building area and 10,323 square meters of sports field. It is equipped with one football field, one badminton court, two tennis courts and four basketball courts. There are 30 classrooms, one chemistry laboratory, one physics laboratory and one biology laboratory. There are two reading rooms and electronic reading rooms, covering 178 square meters, and the library has 35 books per student. The lease contract of the school premises has been extended to 2034. The school has an independent legal personality and is a day school from grade 6 to grade 9 as well as a boarding school (accommodation can be applied for).
